You’ve probably heard the term “compassion fatigue”?
It can happen when you’re constantly taking in the pain of the world and don’t know what to do with it.
Whether it’s the sorrow of working with beings who are deeply hurting, the hopelessness of facing impossible odds, anger at those standing in the way of change, or the terror of a dire future… the business of changemaking is full of emotional landmines.
On top of that, the reason you care about helping in the first place is because you’re a sensitive, big-hearted soul, so this kind of pain hits you even more than the average person.
It’s the perfect storm for creating despair, chronic anxiety, rage, depression, and all sorts of other emotional goodies.
I know, I’ve been there… check all of the above. :p
In this session, I teach a set of tools I’ve collected and created over the years to help me PROCESS PAIN so I have a shot at being an enduring force for good.
You’ll learn tactile, cathartic tools to use on the spot like the mind dump, toxic fling, and the deliberate temper tantrum.
Being a changemaker requires regular “emotional hygiene”
In this workshop, we explore a different way of relating to pain and moving through it so you can keep returning to your path in a clear-sighted, energetic, and loving way.
If you’d like some help navigating the pain landmines, this is the Changemakers Session for you.
Let’s bring a little more focus and ease to how you live your week, Dearest!
Hugs, Kimberly
